How to reset your Kali Linux 2020 XFCE (Ubuntu)panel to default settings

hello everyone,

Sometimes you change the location of the applets or delete the PANEL by mistake .. and you want to start over .. These commands will return the XFCE to their default state, like the first time you installed the system

it easy to reset your xfce panel let’s go :)

first one:: create a desktop icon or shortcut of terminal and browser, maybe you need them maybe later!!

first step, quit the panel

cd Desktop

sudo xfce4-panel — quit

cd -

second step, remove the file panel…

cd -

sudo rm -rf ~/.config/xfce4/panel

sudo rm -rf ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-panel.xml

last one

reset the default panel

xfce4-panel &
